Are you experiencing…

panic?

These are all symptoms of grief.

What causes grief?

Many people think grief is only caused by the death of a loved one, however, grief has many causes…

•    loss of a loved one

•    natural disaster

•    loss of a home

•   loss of a job

•   loss of health

•   divorce

and more…

Dangers of not dealing with grief properly.

Not dealing with your grief can cause physical effects such as:

•    dizzy spells

•    shortness of breath

•    headaches

•    stomach issues

•    tightness in the chest, etc.

It can cause mental affects as well such as:

•    lapses in memory

•    difficulty concentrating

•    absent mindedness

•    mood swings.

Grief can also lower your resistance to disease.

What can you do to get over your grief?

First of all, we never get over grief… we get through it. There are things we can do to help us deal with grief.

A support group can help you move through the grief process.

Our Grief Recovery group is a safe, welcoming place where people understand the difficult emotions of grief. Through participation in this group, you’ll discover what to expect in the days ahead and what’s “normal” in grief. Since there are no neat, orderly stages of grief, you’ll learn helpful ways of coping with grief, in all its unpredictability—and gain solid support each step of the way.

Supportive discussions

During our weekly gatherings, you and the other group members will spend time discussing what is going on in your lives. Talking with other people who understand what you’re experiencing brings great comfort, normalizes the grief experience, and offers a supportive environment to work through your grief.

Grief is a normal part of life.

Through weekly discussion in our group, we help you recognize the stages of grief and learn how to navigate through the grieving process with a biblical response.
